One of the most commonly asked questions we receive is “When is the best time to move?” The answer is not simple, but we do have two simple answers: March and October. These might sound like odd times, but they are the best time seasonally, school-wise, and for economically.
The Best Time to Move
Seasonally: March and October both share the same distance from Summer. Which in our opinion “The farther, the better.” Summer is usually classified as the moving season because it is the easiest weather to deal with and the kids are usually out of school at this time. However, the weather is not too hot; it’s also not too cold, these are the perfect months.
Economically: There are much fewer people ordering the moving services during these times. This means that we promote more deals and our services are not as contested. When there are a lot of people after our trucks and services, it ends up spiking the prices for those days, but the competition is minimal during these times which means the savings are passed onto you!
School-Wise: This is usually the deal breaker. If you have kids and they are in school, it is virtually impossible to move in October and March. This is usually because they are either just starting to get invested in school or just about to leave. However, everybody thinks this, which means it is optimal for people who are ready to make that decision. The optimal time is when everyone else is preoccupied.
