Summertime in Florida is here, and that means sunny skies and warm weather, for many people this is a time of beach expeditions and Bar-B-Qs. One thing that some people fail to consider is how perfect this time of the year is for moving. Now, most may think the increase in temperature to be a hindrance when it comes to moving, but we will show you that there are more pros than cons when it comes to moving during the summer.

The Positives of Moving During the Summer

The Age of Garage Sales

Summertime garage sales are as American as apple pie, so much so that many people go around during this time of the year looking for any sign of such an event. A garage sale will help alleviate you of unneeded property that you do not wish to bring along for the ride.

The Time to Sell

With moving comes to its flip side, selling your house, and it has been shown that the summer is by and large the most active time of the year when it comes to moving. That means that the market is ripe with people looking to buy or rent a location.

No School

With it being summer, there is no school. Now, this may seem like a hindrance, but not having to worry about taking them to school, other activities orchestrated by the schools means that all of your thought and effort can be aimed at the move itself.

More Sunlight

Though it may seem odd to reference this, a greater abundance of sunlight means that you have more natural light to work around. This is better, as the light from lamps, both household, and street, does not supply the amount that the sun does.

Southwest Movers

At Southwest Movers we love helping people move. Also, if you are younger and not attached to an area, we highly recommend moving somewhere crazy and getting to know people somewhere new. But if you are looking at staying close to family or jobs, it doesn’t hurt to find smaller communities and increasing your commute. IF you have any questions at all, give us a call!
